More and more people these days are glued to Social media these days. Numbers are surging like anything. Screen time is getting longer and longer and sleep time is getting shorter to shortest. More and more people are glued to their mobile screens.  Despite having different modes of entertainments and activities in outdoor people prefer to stay close to their Smartphones

Why this is happening?

First of all, it is easy to access to the media, which makes the matter more acceptable to all. Moreover, things like ownership, enjoyment, and affordability make it more interesting. Interests of people are portable these days, not only the can carry in their minds and heart but also through internet connections and Smartphones. Billions and trillions of options to choose from and people just love it. Now, they have the option to pick and choose because nobody can force things upon them unless of course there are government regulations. All the companies are shifting their attention from so-called mainstream media channels to various digital platforms.

Even the mass media are changing. Broadcast and print journalism to are depending on to social media to share their stories among trillions to reach out to more people. Breaking news is slowly replaced by the number of ‘likes’, ‘shares’ and ‘comments’ one is getting.

People engagement is the key. Now, what actually people want? That also depends but more or less it is the uniqueness of the subject attracts more viewers and readers. Remember, Charlie Chaplin?
Each frame of all his films is unique and odd. People love to see different things, some unusual things, something that is not common at all.



Brands too took notice of this change and slowly but surely they are adopting all the social media platforms. In some cases, they are spending like anything. As per the report, total social media advertising revenue in the US has increased by more than 194% in the year 2018. But there is a slight problem while dealing with social media. People generally think it as a short-term solution rather than using it as a long-term useful resource. If you use properly, social media can imprint a significant change in society and business.

You need to take control of your communication and need to know how you can keep people engaged. People engagement is the key to your success and if you do that properly you can easily get that. But you must remember. Each social media needs different ways to address people and you need to master them all or you can allow an expert to do that for you.
