Success of
your brand depends upon two factors Happiness and Love. Believe it or not, these
two factors have the power to drive your customers towards your brand. Yes, love is saleable and it can earn
trillions in profit if you do it in a correct way. Same can be said for ‘happiness’
as companies are selling it like a hotcake and managing to earn a lot.
Why these two emotions are selling?
There is no denial that people love to be loved and enjoy their happiness. Anyone who is offering or promising happiness
or love then it is hard to resist or deny.
People or customers all over the world are looking for more happiness and more love
in everything they see, touch, or use. Happiness sets people in a positive
mindset which also means appreciating life and surroundings. If you can convert them into profit then nothing like it.
But
what is Happiness?
According to Positive Psychology – “Happiness is a state, not a trait; in
other words, it isn’t a long-lasting, permanent feature or personality trait,
but a more fleeting, changeable state.”
There are other ways to describe happiness but it is up to the company how long they can take to
create that state of happiness for its customers and how long it will retain in
their minds.
One of the best examples of selling happiness comes from CocaCola which you can read it here
and they have earned a lot of praise because of this campaign. Other companies have other ways of expressing
happiness through their products or services to win the minds of their target
customers.
In short, if you offer happiness to your customers then you are selling and
profits are bound to go up.
Promoting your business with happiness products or feeling that endorses can
ramp up your profits by multi-folds.
There are different sectors like – tourism, hospitality, higher education, software,
hardware ( think about high-end laptop, tab ),
Business
of Love
Love is also an excellent business proposition. Take a look at the huge market
of Valentine's Day.
According to an old report by FoxBusiness total worth of Valentine’s Day was around $20.7 billion ( in the the year 2019)
Another interesting fact of this year is in 2021, the average American plans to
spend $164.76 on Valentine’s Day, down from $196.31 per person last year ( due
to covid) but up from $161.96 in 2019, the NRF said.
Different segments like, chocolate, flower, food, gardening, pet and gifting ( of any form) are some of the examples of love themed businesses.
You need to decide first, in which category your business falls. Once you decide you are going to endorse happiness (or love) then you can think about the steps to express it to your customers.
Your customers should own that sense of happiness or love to enjoy your product or service.
So, what exactly you are planning to sell love or happiness?
