Marketable Need




Need always differs as per what you need! Complicated? Actually, it’s not! In the world of consumerism, needs are created to fulfill the unfulfilled wishes. Every product in this world is the result of people’s wishes and needs.  Almost every day a new product, service or concept is created to serve the need of the people.  And the entire world loves it.

Consumerism these days differs slightly from the past. Despite tons of theories by eminent people around the world; consumerism caters to only to the needs which is sometimes created, as said earlier. 

But needs also leads to competition among marketers and brands. They always try hard to dissect the needs into pieces and that too according to their conveniences.  Once the brands are convinced about their products they are at their best to convince people about the needs.

Needs that are required to propel the people towards buying! 
People slowly become buyers and then to consumers! In some cases people are more than willing to become the consumers and brands just have to put down their case-studies in front of them.

Consumers these days are far more knowledgeable courtesy constant flow of information through various media channels. Each channel provides different perspective of a single matter and customer has the advantage to know all the aspects of any single product or service and compare with the other. Brands must do their best to provide and put all the credible information to its target customers by using all the media channels and engage them from all the corners of their minds.


Remember one thing, all brand must address each case-study with utmost care before presenting them in front of their target customers. Every case study must show the brand’s true worth and values in a trustworthy manner to create and sustain customers for longer periods. Thinking out of the box is good for some cases but not all the cases as there are different appeals for different brands. We all know each brand has its own personality and it must reflect in its every action.

Brand awareness is a continuous task and needs to be overhauled after a certain period of time depending upon the customer cycle. Like every product, customers too have a shelf life. Choices of customers change with changing time and age. New set of customer emerges from the horizon thus creating new set of demands from the product. In order to maintain the authenticity and remain contemporary to its customers brand must reorganise itself.  It must create new sets of needs to its new customers, create new appeal and if possible create a new look without changing completely from the original one. Surviving in a tough and ever moving market, every band must always reinvent the needs in the minds of its customers and race ahead to win them.

So, at the end both ends meet and they create the market. Once the market is created, brands just have to hold onto the major share of it! To become the leader! How?  Well, that’s another story.
